Peace Abbey Projects
DESIGNATE AND REGISTER YOUR FAVORITE HUGGING TREE TODAY.
Every household, park, place of worship, school, employment, etc. should designate and register a favorite hugging tree. By designating one particular tree at a particular location, it reminds people of the importance of staying close to nature, reminds them that physically connecting with the source of oxygen on the planet has health benefits, and reminds you to count your blessings that, at present, there are still enough trees in the world to sustain life. In addition to hugging a tree (any tree will do, though some are more conducive to getting your arms around), plant a tree every chance you get.
Great article below on history and benefits of tree hugging.

My maple tree got its start in Sherborn on Maple Street! My dad brought it to me as a little sapling many years ago. Now it lives at my home in Medfield with my chickens, providing them with lots of shade in the summer.

The Peace Abbey
Native Land Preservation Action and
Native Land Reparation Forms
There are two new ongoing projects from the Peace Abbey that address injustices affecting the indigenous Native people of the land we currently call our home. Signing the Native Land Preservation Action is one way to demonstrate you stand with the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe and their rights to their ancestral land which was taken out of trust, disestablishing their reservation. The Native Land Reparation Form allows individuals to voluntarily donate 1% of the sale price of their home to a Native tribe whose land their home occupies.
Please check them out and sign if you would like to show your support!
